Summer is coming.
The days warm up and we can start to eat some icecream. Oh, how I will miss italian gelato! I think italy has the best icecream I've ever eaten.
In the mornings the air is still fresh, but during a sunny day it really warms up. The sun on the skin feels so good, its like to fill up a empty tank with new energy. This spring was very rainy and the rain for me is like the sky that weeps. This sometimes brings me in a mood that I dosen't like at all. I then try to make it cozy inside our home, light candles, drinking warm coffee or tea and cuddle with a blanket on the sofa.
But now, summer is calling. The beginning of summer is like dancing barefoot in the grass, feeling the little stones under the feet, picking flowers and dipping your toes in the water of a still cold lake!
I sewed this dress this week, I fall in love with this soft blue and bought this leightweight fabric as a scratch on the market here in italy.
It's a pattern out of the ottobre magazine autumn / winter 2012, I simply made it sleeveless and mixed up a little the patterns ( Modell 14 and 15). I was inspired by Halitha who made a very beautiful version of this dress with dots in a lovely fabric.
The zipper I moved to the side and cutted the back in one piece, unfortunatly I didn't had a zipper in the perfect color, but I'm okay with that.
I'm really in the mood to sew a little and have lots of things to wear in the planning!

DeleteThank you! I think I will make the pattern by myself. Didn't found any good one I really like. For the bottom one I will use the panties pattern I drafted myself, but still looking for inspiration.
Do you know a nice bikini or swimsuit pattern?

ich finde es so schön, dass du dein blog wieder belebst und du hast so sehr abgenommen, oder? du siehst plötzlich ganz anders aus, aber kleider stehen dir nach wie vor so, so gut! einfach schön. und wie wandelbar ein schnitt doch ist... wunderschön siehst du aus :)

Woher bekommst du diese schönen Stoffe? Den zarten blaugrauen Farbton deines Kleides finde ich ganz toll und das Kleid selbst gefällt mir auch sehr gut an dir.

DeleteIch habe meine Stoffe ein bisschen von überall her, leider hat mich die Stoffsucht fest im Griff und meine Schränke sind in regelmässigen Abständen zu klein. Bei mir findet sich also sehr viel in der Sammlung. Da ich in noch in Turin lebe, kaufe ich mir die meisten Stoffe auch hier, ich mag es die Stoffe zu berühren und in echt zu sehen. Dieser hier ist vom Markt, da gibt es meinen Lieblingsstand mit Stoffstückchen die von oft auch grossen Herstellern wie Benetton oder so als Ausschuss abgefallen sind. Dort decke ich mich meist gross ein, ausserdem gibt es hier auch einen Stoffladen der einem keine Wünsche offenlässt. Den gibts auch Online, aber halt in italienischer Sprache: http://www.giessescampoli.com/
Meine Erfahrung ist es, sich durch die Stoffe zu wühlen und fühlen, meist ist irgendwo ein Traumstück verborgen. Ich liebe auch eher die unifarbigen Stoffe, auch wenn meine Sammlung voll vom Mustern ist, es sind die einfarbigen welche ich am meisten verarbeite.

Danke für deine ausführliche Antwort auf meine Nachfrage. Ein Stoffmarkt vor Ort ist natürlich traumhaft. Bei uns gibt es vor Ort leider nur ein kleines Stoffgeschäft und so bin ich oft auf Internetbestellungen angewiesen, obwohl ich die Stoffe auch lieber befühlen würde.
